Pastors Wife's Name: Chris Flickinger
Chris Flickinger is one of those sweet, quiet, behind the scenes women. Pastor Tim is outgoing, fun loving, bursting with sincere conviction and love for his family. Chris works in any area she is needed at the church as well as working outside the home, being a mother and wife to our amazing pastor. I cannot imagine the times she has had to sacrifice so Tim could meet the needs of other families. There have been so many! Funerals, troubled marriages, births, etc. I think Chris must be so much stronger than any of us could imagine! Their daughter was diagnosed with Lupus last year and prior to that they endured the pain of watching and waiting for a diagnosis. Most recently they as a family made the decision for Tim to step down as senior paster as he has felt God leading him in his outreach ministry! He is amazing at reaching out and so many reaching back to him! This is truly his God given gift among so many others! Also, our church (as are so many in our area) is seeing budget issues and all of our pastors have had to take pay cuts. How devastating! Let alone Tim stepping down means less pay in the new capacity. Through all of this Chris is still a gentle force for us at Fowlerville United Brethren as I am sure she is for her family! We love her and look for her smile on Sunday mornings! The Flickinger's as a family are amazing! Chris deserves to be "pampered" with the pearls as I think she is the quiet strength for her husband and family as well as for so many in our church!
